Stable Under Heat and Dust – BS Series Bearings Keep Indonesia’s Cement Plants Running Continuously
At a large cement factory on Indonesia’s Java Island, equipment operates continuously under extreme heat and dust, with minimal time allowed for maintenance. The plant’s previous bearings frequently overheated and wore out under heavy load, leading to unplanned shutdowns. The management sought a durable high-temperature bearing to ensure reliable, round-the-clock production.
We recommended the BS85, BS135, and BS160 heavy-duty bearing series, designed with high-temperature-resistant materials and reinforced cages. The specially heat-treated raceways maintain performance up to 180°C. We also provided a customized high-temperature lubrication plan and on-site installation support to ensure even load distribution and optimal pre-tightening.
After six months of continuous operation, the client reported smoother rotation in grinding mills and kilns, stable bearing temperatures, and a 30% longer lifespan compared with previous models. The number of annual shutdowns was reduced by half, and maintenance costs dropped significantly. The maintenance supervisor said, “For the first time, we’ve achieved uninterrupted production during the hottest months.”
The BS series bearings are helping Indonesia’s building-materials industry maintain reliable, efficient operations in harsh environments, enabling factories to adopt long-cycle, low-maintenance production models. We will continue to provide high-quality bearing solutions worldwide, helping equipment operate more efficiently and durably.
